PRINT and/or WEB DESIGNER

Vitamin, a Baltimore-based design and marketing boutique, is currently accepting applications for a qualified Print and / or Web Designer.

Position Overview

We are hiring for an open design position. We are most interested in high quality designers either in print, web, or both. What's most important to us is your ability to create quality work. The ideal candidate must speak intelligently about their work and demonstrate range, experience and congruency. You must also bring a comprehensive understanding of the Macromedia Suite and Adobe Suite as well as the Macintosh and PC platforms. You should also have a complete portfolio of projects with examples of work across various media. No need to apply without a solid portfolio.

Additionally, the qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • 4 year college degree (within any major) a must
  • 2-5 years minimum professional experience in an agency or design boutique (freelance experience does not qualify)
  • Thorough understanding of typography and the ability to utilize type effectively
  • Appreciation of Vitamin's design philosophy and ability to adhere to the highest standard of design
  • Proven ability to think conceptually and successfully execute a creative vision with little art direction required
  • Passion to learn and succeed; ability to take well to constructive criticism; detail oriented nature
  • Motivation to work individually and as a team in a fast-paced, client-centric business environment
  • Attention to detail along with the ability to self manage and follow directions accurately
