Vitamin Selected by The Hearing and Speech Agency to Brand and Promote Vibe ’07

Baltimore, Md. — March 19, 2007

Vitamin® today announced being selected for the second year in a row to brand and promote Vibe ’07, the largest annual fundraiser of The Hearing and Speech Agency (HASA), the only non-profit in Maryland solely dedicated to meeting the needs of children and adults who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who have speech and language disabilities.

“The mission and services of HASA are increasingly important to our community, especially with the growing diagnosis of autism in children-as many as 1 in 150 according to the CDC,” said Michael Karfakis, president and CEO of Vitamin. "Vibe is an engaging and effective way to educate the community about the severity of communication challenges, and Vitamin is privileged to lead the marketing efforts for the fundraiser again this year.”

To promote Vibe, Vitamin is handling all of the branding, marketing and public relations surrounding the event, including the event logo, marketing collateral, media planning, advertising, media relations and onsite marketing. This year’s Vibe carries the theme "A Night of Magic,” which is woven throughout all of the event’s marketing materials. A glimpse of the event brand can be seen at www.hasa.org/vibe. Vitamin will rollout the full promotional campaign for Vibe ’07 throughout the next several months.

“The Hearing and Speech Agency is excited that Vitamin, in addition to many of our sponsors and volunteers who supported our inaugural Vibe ’06, will be returning to celebrate Vibe ’07,” stated Susan Glasgow, executive director of HASA. "Last year was a tremendous success and everyone at HASA is eager to host yet another spectacular event to help people of all ages and income levels who are in need of our communication services.”

Vibe ’07 will be held on May 11th at the American Visionary Art Museum. The event will be emceed by WJZ-TV weathercaster, Bob Turk, who has a cochlear implant and frequently speaks with clients and students of HASA about his personal struggles with hearing loss. Vibe will also feature a professional mind reader and magic show, live and silent auctions, and strolling magic. A tribute to Miriam Zadek, HASA’s Communicator of the Year - and numerous other communications and "magic" themed activities - will entertain guests of Vibe ’07, whose donations aid HASA in improving lives through better communication.

Corporations or individuals interested in benefactor, sponsorship, auction, ad book, or ticket information should call HASA directly at 410.318.6780. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of HASA.
